There’s still so much we don’t know about stammering. But now we know where to start. Thanks to our James Lind Alliance project, we’ve identified the top unanswered questions about childhood stammering. Read more about our Priority Setting Partnership here.
With these priorities in hand, we’re now focused on working with researchers to explore the gaps, helping to drive forward the solutions that children and young people need.
By answering these questions, we can bring about meaningful change to families by advancing the evidence base and ultimately our understanding of childhood stammering.

We co-funded a four-year doctoral research programme with the Economic & Social Research Council and University College London (UCL) between 2018 and 2023. Below you can read about the outcomes of that project, which investigated risk for anxiety and depression in children and young people who stammer.
