Research Priorities for Childhood Stammering

There’s still so much we don’t know about stammering. But now we know where to start. Thanks to our James Lind Alliance project, we’ve identified the top unanswered questions about childhood stammering. Read more about our Priority Setting Partnership here.

With these priorities in hand, we’re now focused on working with researchers to explore the gaps, helping to drive forward the solutions that children and young people need.

Call to action

  • Calling on Researchers to use the Top 10 to inform your future research projects and grant applications.
  • Calling on Research Funders to make resources available to address the questions identified by the stammering community.
  • Calling on Policymakers to rely on the evidence-base generated by these questions to develop meaningful and practical policy recommendations that benefit young people who stammer and their families

By answering these questions, we can bring about meaningful change to families by advancing the evidence base and ultimately our understanding of childhood stammering.
