ASC Mentoring 2024 – Mentee Application

Thank you for your interest in the Action for Stammering Children 2024-2025 mentoring programme. The ASC mentoring scheme is now in its third year and is open to young people who stammer aged between 18 and 25 who are embarking on the transition into higher education or the world of world. This unique scheme is fully funded by the charity and offers young people who stammer one-to-one mentoring with a professional adult who stammers over a 6-month period. Applications are open to all UK residents.

The ASC mentoring scheme provides an opportunity to work towards your goals and aspirations with the support and guidance of a mentor who stammers, who you will be paired with for the duration of the programme. If you are about to enter higher education, are a student considering your career options, or are actively looking for your first job, the ASC mentoring programme may be for you!

Applications are now open for the third cohort of young people who stammer. The programme will kick-off in October 2024 and conclude in April 2025. During this time, you will meet online with your mentor a minimum of 6 times. The programme launches with a half day online briefing session on 11th October 2024 and a mid-programme review on 15th January 2025 will give you an opportunity to reconnect with other mentees. There will also be a group evaluation session and a closing celebratory event on 2nd April 2025. If you are selected, you will be expected to take part in all sessions.
