Founded in 2015, the ASC Youth Panel is an excellent introduction to the ASC community and offers members the chance to meet other young people who stammer. The Youth Panel ensure that everything we do is informed by the young people we seek to support.
The ASC Youth Panel is a group of young people aged between 15 and 25 who live all over the UK. They advocate for better understanding of stammering by working with us on projects, running awareness raising campaigns and representing the charity in the media.
In 2023, the Youth Panel established a new committee structure to lead the Panel’s activities and strengthen the ways in which they work with the ASC staff team. This also offers young people the chance to gain extra-curricular experience in fulfilling the responsibilities associated with their committee role.
You don’t have to be on the committee to be part of the Youth Panel! After you’ve been part of the Youth Panel for a while, you might want to volunteer for one of the positions though – it’s up to you!
