Stammering can trigger a harsh inner critic every time your words catch. Our free, self-directed online course teaches simple self-compassion techniques so you can treat yourself kindly and build confidence when speaking.
What You’ll Do
- Daily videos (10–15 minutes): Short exercises each day covering mindfulness, guided reflection and quick journaling prompts.
- Three surveys: Brief questionnaires on day 1, day 14 and two weeks later to track changes in self-criticism, self-esteem and social anxiety.
- Feedback form: Share your thoughts at the end to help shape future support for people who stammer.
Why Take Part?
Practising self-compassion can reduce stress, boost resilience and improve well-being. For example, if you catch yourself thinking “I’ve messed up again,” you’ll learn to notice that thought, remind yourself it’s normal and offer a kinder response—“Everyone stumbles; I’ll give it another go.”
