This September, we’re offering an exciting opportunity to get involved in our work by becoming an ambassador for ASC. If you are 15–25, stammer, and want your voice to shape real change, apply to join the Action for Stammering Children (ASC) Youth Panel today.

 

What is the Youth Panel

Since 2015, young people who stammer from across the UK have worked with ASC to make sure young people’s voices are at the heart of what we do. It is a friendly space to meet others, build skills, and influence our activities and priorities. We are recruiting new members for a two-year term.

Why join

What you will do

  • Support and front awareness campaigns and events
  • Act as Ambassadors for ASC
  • Feed into our existing activities and development of new projects
  • Raise awareness about stammering in your local community and the media
  • Help with school-facing activities and ideas for teachers
  • Give feedback on services and test new content.

Time and support

Around 2–3 hours a month. Mostly online meetings, with optional in-person days. Travel for ASC activities is reimbursed.

Who can apply ?

Aged 15–25, living in the UK, you stammer, and you can show up kindly and reliably.

How it works

  • Deadline: 31 October 2025 at 23:59
  • Interviews: short, friendly Zoom chat with two ASC staff and one current Youth Panellist
  • Onboarding: welcome pack, access needs, first meeting, choose interests
