Talking Out is a fantastic programme for young people aged 11–18. We have witnessed remarkable transformations—confidence visibly grows with each session.
Fully funded by ASC and delivered in partnership with Talking Out Ltd., this programme is specifically designed for young people who stammer. It combines expert Speech & Language Therapy with exciting outdoor activities and a supportive residential experience.
An in-person group open to young people aged 11–18 (Year 7–13) who stammer and live in the UK. This five-day programme combines speech and language therapy sessions with outdoor activities and group games.
The residential setting is central to the experience — by staying at Bewerley Park together, eating together, and enjoying downtime together, young people are building connections beyond the structured activities.
Young people are invited to follow up days at 3- and 6-months to help them retain what they have learned and connect with their peers.

The programme is fully funded by Action for Stammering Children.
A specialist online intervention for teenagers in secondary school (Year 7–13) across the UK who stammer. Using a stammering-affirming approach, the programme combines speech and language therapy with group activities, one-to-one sessions, and individual challenges—all delivered virtually.
