For Mentors
We are also recruiting mentors—*professionals who stammer and want to support the next generation. Mentor applications will open on 5th March, and mentors will receive training and supervision to ensure they feel confident in guiding their mentees. Many mentors find the experience incredibly rewarding, describing it as “gaining through giving” and “a journey of growth for both mentor and mentee.”
Our Career Mentoring Programme offers:
- Safe recruitment for both mentees and mentors to ensure a secure environment
- Pre-matching interviews
- Connect with peers
- Ongoing support from Action for Stammering Children
- Minimum 6 meetings per year
For any questions, feel free to contact us at [email protected]
*While there is no formal age requirement to become a mentor, we do expect our mentors to hold a senior position within their industry or organisation and have practical experience in managing or leading others, reflecting a level of professional experience that allows them to offer meaningful guidance to mentees navigating their own career paths.
