Caitlin Heath
My name is Caitlin Heath. Having previously achieved a BSc in Psychology at Newcastle University, I am now a masters student, studying ‘Cognitive Development and Disorders in Psychology’ at the University of Leeds. The current research is part of my end of year project for my MSc. The research aims to investigate the effect of COVID-19 (with regards to online learning and social isolation) on children that have a stammer. The study aims to explore how this has impacted on speech fluency and the wellbeing of both parents and children.
The research project is supervised by Dr Christina Sotiropoulou Drosopoulou. The research involves a survey, to which will be completed by parents of those that stammer and parents of a non-stammering control group.
In addition to my MSc, I am also currently working in a nursery and taking part in volunteering for SHOUT helpline and AgeUK.
