2. Mental Health outcomes in children who do and do not stammer

PhD student, Ria Bernard, is looking for children who stammer to take part in her latest research study – and children will receive a £10 gift voucher for taking part!

  • Does your child stammer?
  • Are they aged between 8 and 13 years?
  • Is English their first language?
  • Do they live in the UK?

If so, we’d really like to hear from you:

This study aims to compare experiences of mental health and bullying in children who stammer, children who do not stammer and children with language disorder.

Children will be asked to work through a series of fun activities with the researcher (Ria) during an online session via Zoom. The whole session takes about 90-minutes but we can break it down into two or three shorter sessions if that would be easier.

You can read more about the study and what is involved by clicking on the information sheets below.

If you’d like to take part you can either email me: [email protected]

Or register your interest here and I’ll get back to you

This study is co-funded by the ESRC and Action for Stammering Children Charity. It has been granted ethical approval by the UCL Research Ethics Committee (#15535/001).
