The London Marathon – 3rd October 2021

The Virgin Money London Marathon will take place on Sunday 3rd October 2021 this year. After being postponed because of the pandemic, the race is back and bigger than ever before.

Harry Marsh, will be running the marathon this year and raising money for Action for Stammering Children. Harry went through the Michael Palin Centre so the cause is very close to his heart.

Here is a message from him about his run:

On 3rd October this year I will be running the London Marathon in order to raise money for Action for Stammering Children (ASC), a UK charity aiming to provide effective therapy and support to children and young people who stammer.

Up to 1.5 million children and young people in the UK can be affected by stammering and around 10% of people will stammer at some point in their lives. As one of those 1.5 million, I have spent countless hours at The Michael Palin Centre for Stammering Children, the charity’s home, where my family and I have been given the skills and the support to help me overcome my stammer. I could not speak more highly of the support ASC’s therapists provide. From a personal perspective, they have had an immeasurable impact on my life and are the reason that I now enjoy a life of fluency. Without them, I would not be where I am today.

Please help me in supporting this wonderful charity so that more young people can have access to the therapy and support I was so lucky to enjoy. Your donation will have a direct impact on a stammering child. Every little helps and will go a long way!
