Reaching Young People who Stammer in 2022: Action For Stammering Children joins TikTok

At Action for Stammering Children, we are driven by our six key strategic goals and our vision for a society where children and young people who stammer have the same opportunities and quality of life as their peers.
Within these strategic goals is the aim of empowering children and young people who stammer by giving them a voice within our organisation and in society, to change public perceptions of stammering as well as to promote awareness of stammering and the impact it has on children and young people’s lives. To achieve these goals in a modern environment, we must reach young people who stammer on the platforms they use.
Today, we are pleased to share that our charity is joining TikTok, the massively popular and ever-growing video sharing app that has become instrumental in the lives of young people who use social media. We will be creating new video content especially for the platform with the aim of sharing the stories of other young people who stammer, providing information about stammering and tips for young people on how to effectively support their peers who stammer.
In addition, Action for Stammering Children will reveal later in the year new additions to our Stambassadors project including TikTok influencers within the stammering community.

We look forward to sharing more news about how we’re expanding our reach nationwide in the coming months.
